“ The food here is delicious! Its honestly better than Tangbar in stonestown because its a little cheaper and they have more soup options! The service was great because they were very nice and answered our questions the best they could. The ambiance is quiet and clean because not many people know about this place. The outside could look dim and empty but i assure you its not as bad as what you think! i have been going here for years and I hope they still stay open since this is a staple place for some good noodle soup. I really like the idea of customizing whats in my bowl because I can be picky. Also another thing i like about this place is that they have a sauce bar!!! I really enjoy making all my sauces to use as a dip. I can't say enough to please give this place a try and tell others as well!! ”

“ Found my new go to spot to get dry pot takeout. I was able to customize my order and it came quickly in a huge box (with another small one with even more food that probably didn't fit in the first). Loved the dry seasonings, ramen, sliced beef and lamb and the quail eggs. ”

“ I've been ordering from QingShu in person and through delivery apps all year and I don't see that changing in the new year because the food is delicious! I always order the dry pot and customize by adding my fave hot pot ingredients, but there are definitely hit and miss items that I've learned to avoid. All of the fish ball variants are great, as are the mushrooms. The meats are sliced too thick for my liking and end up being tough to chew through, so I usually opt for fish instead. A carb that can soak up the sauce is necessary in my opinion, and I often get noodles to eat with white rice. This is meant to be a comfort meal, not a healthy one! The restaurant offers a small sauce bar in person with sizable togo sauce containers. I find that the dry pot sauce is so flavorful that I don't miss the sauce bar anyway, but if you're ordering something that's milder then it may be a better experience to order in person. The food is prepared quickly so it can be easily taken out to go, and the restaurant is so close to Golden Gate Park that the excursion can easily become a picnic. ”

(I crave soup with meat and veggies quite often.) Prices above are from last year, when we tried them out. I like how you're able to customize your pot and add whatever you want. I believe the soup bases start at $3.99 and you go from there. I got the spicy one. It probably had a decent amount of heat, but knowing me, I most likely added more spices. We had sliced meat at home, so we just added veggies and seafood. Or else I think my pot would have been like $30+. And hubby's would have been even more! We luckily have a split pot at home, so used that with our camping type burner. Good way to emulate the experience outside of a restaurant. Would definitely recommend getting that setup if you plan on ordering takeout or delivery. Glad I explored a new spot. Tho adding everything you want may end up costly. ”

“ This really hits the spot for Malatang! For those unfamiliar, malatang is like hot pot except you pick the ingredients and they'll cook it for you in the flavor of your choice, and there's no active heating component. It's perfect for lazier individuals who just want to eat! Be warned that it is priced per pound so it might end up being a lot of food/money if you lack self control! They have the largest soup selection I've seen for Malatang. I was warned that the pickle chili would be very spicy but for a spice lover I thought it was very tolerable. If you're not craving soup, they also have a dry pot option as well. There's a solid selection of ingredients ranging from veggies to noodles, meat and fish. The only complaint I had would be the meat. All the meat were very thick slices which made it more difficult to eat. Typically in malatang there are marinated meats that are more tender, or very thinly sliced meats which I would've preferred. Otherwise very tasty food and very flavorful and savory soup bases! I definitely enjoyed my experience and would return to try more flavors. ”
